Centurion Travel Ltd has upgraded its fleet with Euro 6 Compliant vehicles with the help of Anglo Scottish Asset Finance and our dedicated CAZ team.

Helping Centurion Travel

The Problem: Implemented in 2020, Bath Clean Air Zone Scheme is designed to help reduce nitrogen dioxide emissions in Bath town centre. Businesses operating in the Clean Air Zone (or CAZ) without compliant vehicles must pay a daily emissions charge when travelling in and out of the city.

The scheme provides local businesses with financial support to upgrade to cleaner Euro 6 compliant vehicles.

Family-run business Centurion Travel Ltd, which offers a range of services including private hire, day trips, excursions, and school transport in the Bath area and beyond, recognised that their fleet needed to be upgraded and enlisted the support of Anglo Scottish to help access Clean Air Zone support.

Our Solution: Our dedicated CAZ team worked closely with Centurion Travel Ltd, to access financial support from Bath and North East Somerset Council which consisted of a grant and subsidy that delivered an interest-free finance facility over a seven-year term.

With the financial assistance in place, Centurion Travel was able to purchase three, clean air complaint coaches to supplement their fleet, and thus avoid emissions charges.

“The team and I at Centurion Travel are so grateful for the help and support provided by Anglo Scottish. Bath and North East Somerset Council made the process of applying for the Council’s Financial Assistance Scheme exceptionally easy, handling almost everything for us, and keeping us updated throughout the process.

Thanks to Anglo Scottish we’ve been able to grow our fleet and ensure that we are compliant with the new emissions rules in Bath”
